Double stacking in the canner is a game changer. It means I can process more jars at the same time. However, keep in mind with water bath canning you still have to have room to submerge your jars with an inch or water on top. I can double stack with half pints and quarter pints in my 17qt canner because it is big enough. This works for both water bath canning and pressure canning. With pressure canning however you do not have to worry about covering the jars with water. #canningandpreserving #ca
