Jan 11, 2022 · I have the same issue but mine was in the online app not the desktop version. The way to fix it is you go to the top right corner of you browser, next to your avatar and click the three dots. A drop down menu will appear where you will reduce the zoom level. This should fix the ribbon size on the browser based excel app. See image below
