what type of string is the best to use for alpha bracelets?
2 years, 6 months ago by mrs_jordan. @apples123 for alphas it is best to try to use strings of the same thickness because this will help to make your alphas straighter and more even. I usually use embroidery floss from amazon for my alphas because it is cheaper then my dmc thread that I use for my normal bracelets.

When it comes to using embroidery floss (by which I assume we're all talking about the 6-strand floss), their color range is absolutely amazing! I've used DMC, Loops & Threads, Amazon, and JP Coats brands. They definitely all have a different feel but for sure DMC and Amazon have the smoothest finishes.

To fix the holes thing make sure that the knots you make stay really close to the bracelet itself, maybe you can push them with your nail. As for thread for alphas, everything works but make sure you only use one brand. I use amazon thread, it's really cheap and it comes in a lot of colors, just search for embroidery floss and see what comes up.
