The last time I saw Alysa Liu she was 13 years old and 4-foot-9, playing with homemade slime at her home rink in Oakland, surrounded by a gaggle of skating friends. She was giggly and goofy and relaxed. On that weekend three years ago, she was just a few weeks removed from becoming the youngest skater ever to win the U.S. Nationals.

Alysa, as a surprise guest, performed at the Skating Club of San Francisco's annual fundraising gala last night. Keep an eye out for videos. I haven't found one posted yet. Chock & Bates, Jermey Abbott and Massimo Scali were other elite level performers. The show started with the tiniest, youngest synchro team I've seen, the Tremorettes.

Dec 19, 2021 · Idk if she blocks anyone who is mentioning figure skating, I’m pretty sure the reasoning is that she has a clearly defined boundary between her private life and her figure skating life, and grown adults or similarly aged teens on the internet cannot respect that boundary.
