Replacement for Tamron 17-50 for use on Canon R7
Jan 1, 2023 · As per the title I've got an itch to replace my ageing Tamron 17-50 f2.8 (non VC) for some L quality glass to act as my walk around and landscape, garden photography lens. I like the contrast and sharpness shown by my other L glass. For context my lens collection is Canon 10-22, Tamron 17-50, Canon 70-200 f4, Canon 400 f5.6.

Pairing a 1.4x or 2x with a sigma 150-600mm on the new R5 and R6.
Feb 18, 2021 · I use the 100-400II with a 1.4XIII and very happy with that. I also have the Sigma 150-600C. I have a few examples of the 150-600C paired with the Canon 1.4XIII in both the R6 thread and the Sigma 150-600 thread. It's my understanding that one of the firmware updates for the Sigma may have broken the compatibility with Canon tele converters.

Jun 25, 2022 · My R7 has locked up three times, twice power cycle solved. Third time had to pull the battery. ALL instances were with a used Sigma 150-600mm Sports (unk F/W) I had purchased. I returned the lens after one day. No issues yet with RF-S 18-150mm, RF 24-240mm, RF 35mm, RF 50mm, RF 70-200mm f/2.8, or RF 100-500mm attached.
