The Shell Scotford Complex consists of a bitumen upgrader, oil refinery, chemicals plant and the Quest Carbon Capture and Storage facility. It is one of North America’s most efficient, modern and integrated hydrocarbon processing sites.

The Scotford Upgrader is a part of a larger site known as Shell Scotford located 40 km northeast of Edmonton, Alberta. Shell Scotford comprises three operating units: the Upgrader, a Refinery, and a Chemical plant.
