Penn has agreed to ban trans women from women's sports, resolving a civil rights case that centered around swimmer Lia Thomas, the Department of Education said Tuesday.

The agreement requires the university to follow Title IX as interpreted by the Department of Education and adopt Trump's executive order defining sex as biological.

This comes after Trump’s executive order in February titled “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports”, declaring: “With this executive order, the war on women’s sports is over.”
