ANN ARBOR – Michigan is 1-0 in Big Ten play, thanks to a late rushing touchdown from Kalel Mullings on fourth-and-goal from the 1. Mullings’ score gave the 18th-ranked Wolverines a 27-24 lead over No. 11 USC in the final minute Saturday at Michigan Stadium, and the defense closed it out by forcing a turnover on downs with eight seconds remaining.

In the preseason, Michigan football beating USC looked like more of an expectation but by the time that the Week 4 game came along, it was a foregone conclusion that the Trojans would beat the Wolverines.

USC's first Big Ten matchup didn't go as hoped. The Trojans allowed a touchdown in the final minute to give Michigan a 27-24 victory Saturday.
