The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has, for the first time, officially identified The Resistance Front (TRF) in a sanctions monitoring report as responsible for the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on April 22.

UNSC report mentions The Resistance Front, a proxy of Lashkar-e-Taiba, in Pahalgam attack, exposing Pakistan's cross-border terrorism.

Speaking in Parliament, India’s External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had noted that Pakistan had actively lobbied to prevent TRF’s mention during UNSC deliberations. Earlier, the United States had designated TRF as a terrorist organisation.
