The Seattle Mariners are considered a favorite to land Eugenio Suarez if he is dealt before the trade deadline, according to a report.

Being the favorite to land Suarez is huge news. The Arizona Diamondbacks' All-Star third baseman is considered the top bat available to be had before the deadline. Suarez has hit 36 home runs this season, and he has more than 300 in his career. He's a legitimate middle-of-the-order slugger.

Its Wednesday, July 30 and the Mariners (57-51) are in Sacramento close out their series against the Athletics (47-63). Bryan Woo is slated to take the mound for Seattle against Jeffrey Springs for Oakland.
