Lexis King defeated Charlie Dempsey to win the NXT Heritage Cup at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil 2025, and as it was before when he thought he won the championship on the Christmas Eve episode, there was some dispute regarding the finish. King apparently head-butted Dempsey in the groin before delivering his Cross-Arm Twisting Neckbreaker for the win.
