The seven-time world champion has teased an announcement after the Belgian Grand Prix weekend at Spa-Francorchamps.
Lewis Hamilton is still searching for his first podium since joining Ferrari, as the wait extended through another Grand Prix weekend. Ferrari had high hopes heading into Belgium, bringing one of their most significant update packages of the season since the last race at Silverstone.
Lewis Hamilton revealed he has switched one of his performance engineers in his team and said they were both adapting to the mid-season alteration. While not stating who it was, Hamilton said the engineer was from his “previous team”, suggesting the new hire came from Mercedes.
McLaren star Oscar Piastri achieved a feat previously accomplished only by Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. Piastri won the Belgian Grand Prix after making an amazing overtake on the opening lap to get ahead, and he didn't look back once he got into clean air.
