The tractor-trailer jack-knifed in the northbound lanes at mile marker 44, near the 29th Street overpass, a PennDOT spokesperson confirmed.

According to PennDOT spokesperson Dave Thompson, the employee went into cardiac arrest and died at the scene after being struck.
