Tottenham have given head coach Ange Postecoglou the vote of confidence after facing calls to sack the under-fire boss following their defeat to Arsenal. Spurs' 2-1 loss in the North London derby was their 11th in the Premier League this season, leaving Postecoglou's men languishing in 13th position in the table.

Spurs took the lead through captain Son Heung-min in the 25th minute but an own goal from Dominic Solanke and a strike from Leandro Trossard meant that Arsenal took the lead into half-time and did not relinquish it after the break.

Ange Postecoglou said he hopes his Tottenham players are hurting after their 2-1 defeat to Arsenal on Wednesday and labelled the performance "unacceptable."
