Donald Trump was officially sworn in as the 47th president of the United States as the Inauguration was underway. And just like every time since he walked down that gold elevator in 2015 to announce his first presidential run, every public appearance is more head-scratching than the next.

The claim that Greenland's prime minister, Múte Bourup Egede, made a cheeky post on social media about Trump's inauguration was labeled as satire.

President Donald Trump did not place his hand on the Bible as he took the oath of office during his inauguration on Monday. First lady Melania Trump stood next to the president holding two Bibles, but the 47th president of the United States didn't place his hand on either as he raised his right hand to take the presidential oath,

President Trump took the oath of office, administered by Chief Justice John Roberts, without his hand on his bible. However, the Constitution doesn’t specify that a bible must be used—simply that the oath must be recited.
