The former WWE champion is staying put. On Tuesday afternoon during the Pat McAfee Show, McAfee announced that former WWE champion Sheamus had signed a new contract to remain with the organization.

Sheamus has re-signed with WWE. Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Pat McAfee announced that Sheamus had officially signed an extension with WWE. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) confirmed the news with WWE sources.

Sheamus and WWE have reached an agreement to keep the 46-year-old in the company. It was announced on today’s episode of The Pat McAfee Show that Sheamus has signed a contract extension, although the length of the deal has not been disclosed.

WWE continues to load up the card for the September 16 episode of WWE RAW. In a tweet, WWE announced that Pete Dunne will face Sheamus on the September 16 episode of WWE RAW. This will be a rematch of their match on the August 19 episode,

Sami Zayn will be in action on the September 23 episode of WWE RAW. World Heavyweight Champion Gunther again rejected Sami Zayn’s challenge on the September 16 episode. Ludwig Kaiser attacked Zayn, but Sami fought him off.
