In a dramatic scene worthy of the Bard himself, a London stage performance by Hollywood legend Sigourney Weaver was brought to an abrupt halt when two Just Stop Oil activists stormed the Theatre Royal Drury Lane during Monday evening’s performance of “The Tempest.

Sigourney Weaver’s West End production of The Tempest was disrupted by climate crisis protesters on Monday night. Just Stop Oil activists took to the stage and unfurled a sign saying “Over 1.5 Degrees is a Global Shipwreck” in the group’s signature orange.

Two people have been arrested after protesters from Just Stop Oil disrupted a performance of The Tempest, starring Sigourney Weaver in London's West End. A man and a woman from the environmental campaign group climbed on to the stage at Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Monday evening.
