With the highly competitive Durango Fall Classic in Las Vegas looming, tournament play last weekend brought out the best in high school volleyball teams across the country and the results shook up the High School on SI National Girls High School Top 25 rankings.

The top volleyball programs in the state have held their own throughout the season, but a new No. 1 team has emerged in one of the divisions in the latest Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association rankings.

Sept. 16, there were 15 teams ranked in the current Top 20 that took the court. Each ranked squad pulled out the victory to begin the week, paving the way for a contentious remainder in their schedules.
