A loaded handgun was intercepted by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at a security checkpoint at the Lancaster Airport on Sunday, Sept 22. The TSA said the X-ray unit at the security checkpoint alerted TSA of a 9mm firearm packed in a man’s carry-on bag.

A Reading man had a loaded 9 mm handgun in his carry-on bag at Lancaster Airport on Sunday, the Transportation Security Administration said.

"The 9mm firearm was loaded with seven bullets, including one in the chamber. An additional gun magazine loaded with eight additional bullets was packed alongside the firearm," a statement from TSA said.
