President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday that makes it easier for municipalities to remove homeless people from the streets.

The Maine People's Alliance and Maine Women's Lobby will host a storytelling event on the impacts of Trump's bill at Riverbank Park in Westbrook.

So far, the state has signed onto more than two dozen cases in federal courts across the country. Search through a list of what rules are being challenged and where those cases stand.

The administration announced last week that it was releasing a portion of the education funding. Sen. Susan Collins, who pushed for their release, is also calling for the release of medical research grants.

The order signed this week seeks to shift federal funds and policies away from harm reduction and towards civil commitment, which enables authorities to hospitalize and treat people without their consent.

The 1988 pay-per-view event, advertised as being held at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City (though it was held at the city’s convention hall), took place during wrestling’s golden era, and Hogan was slated to face off against Andre the Giant.
