As Boston College works through a transition on offense, SMU’s defense will capitalize. The Mustang defense has excelled at stopping the run this season, allowing just 90 rushing yards per game, and even BC’s skilled rushing attack won’t be able to overcome the loaded Mustang front seven.

Rhett Lashlee’s 8-1 squad has the top spot in the ACC as the only team that’s undefeated in conference play following Miami’s defeat at the hands of Georgia Tech

SMU is all alone atop the Atlantic Coast Conference standings with a direct path to the 12-team College Football Playoff even if its new league does get only one team in the expanded field.
