Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal, on Monday said that India and the UK have decided to restart negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement (FTA). The talks between the countries had stalled last year in May ahead of the general elections in the UK.

India-UK resumes their FTA talks on Monday, February 24 as Union Minister expects it to be a ‘win-win’ situation for both nations.

India and the UK are negotiating a social security pact, free trade agreement, and bilateral investment treaty. The social security agreement will help avoid double contributions by Indian professionals in the UK.
