The BCCI will not have to worry about sending Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma to Pakistan as the PCB has reportedly decided to cancel the captains’ event and official photoshoot for Champions Trophy 2025 due to logistical challenges.

In what could be labelled as a major setback for Pakistan , reports suggest that there will be no Opening Ceremony or Captain's Photoshoot ahead of CT 2025. This surely comes as a jolt for the country who were looking forward to hosting a grand opening ceremony.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to announce the squad for the Champions Trophy 2025 within the next two days.

The final ceremony will be held in Lahore on February 16, attended by former cricketers and ICC officials. PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has already met with PM Shahbaz Sharif to finalize the arrangements.
