A running influencer from Texas has been disqualified from the New York City Marathon and banned from future New York City running events after he ran part of the course with people on e-bikes filming him.

Running influencer Matthew Choi documented his latest marathon with a video of him running through the streets of New York City, chasing a finish time of just under three hours. What the video didn’t show—two people on electronic bikes riding alongside him to gather footage—ultimately led to his disqualification from the New York City Marathon,
