Three days after earning the No. 18 spot in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, the Terps wasted a 17-point lead in the first half and watched helplessly as Bruce Thornton and host Ohio State rallied for a 73-70 win Thursday night before an announced 10,155 at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Illinois coach Brad Underwood would have expected Maryland to attack with beefy bigs Derik Queen (6-foot-10) and Julian Reese (6-foot-9) – two of its three leading scorers – when the Terrapins visited Champaign on Thursday.

OSU has played well lately, with three wins in its last four games, despite its most recent outing being a loss to Illinois. Maryland has quietly gone under the radar and has won six of its previous seven. The Terps have also sneakingly become one of the better future bet values on the market in that time.
