Police say officers responded to the Family Dollar on East Boundary for reports of a robbery around 9:00 a.m. on March 21.

Police say a Family Dollar clerk was robbed at knifepoint in Warwick Tuesday night. The Warwick Police Department responded around 9:30 p.m. to the robbery at the Warwick Avenue location. A small amount of cash was taken,

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - A Lynchburg man has been arrested for a robbery at a Family Dollar store. Lynchburg Police say Leander Vales, 44, has been charged and is being held with no bond in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.

Chicago police say the suspect was arrested 20 minutes after the robbery from the store located in the 2700 block of West North Avenue.

Officers responded to the Family Dollar at North and Fairfield avenues shortly before 9:30 p.m. Police said a clerk there told officers two men robbed the store, and one of them had a handgun.
