Following in the footsteps of Emma Thompson, Daisy will play Elinor in the society classic whilst Outlander star Catriona Balfe will take on Mrs. Dashwood

On July 11, Deadline reported that Esmé Creed-Miles ( Hanna) has been cast as Marianne Dashwood, Elinor’s emotional and impulsive sister. Miles shared an Instagram post celebrating the big news with shots of the book and her script side-by-side with Edgar Jones’s.

Focus Features and Working Title’s “Sense and Sensibility” has rounded out its cast with George MacKay, Caitríona Balfe, Fiona Shaw and more joining Daisy Edgar-Jones in the Jane Austen adaptation.
