Quincy Jones, the musician-producer whose work was on several of the biggest pop LPs of the century, has died at 91.

There was little Jones did not do in a music career of more than 65 years. He was a trumpeter, bandleader, arranger, composer, producer and winner of 28 Grammy Awards.

Quincy Jones made himself one of the 20th century’s greatest producers by presiding over American music’s transition from jazz to pop.
