Confirmed: Nintendo Switch successor will be backwards compatible
The upcoming Nintendo Switch successor–most probably to be launched as ‘Nintendo Switch 2’) will be backwards compatible with the Switch software, Nintendo President and CEO Shuntaro Furukawa confirmed in a post on X. The CEO of the Japanese video game company also confirmed that the Switch successor will support Nintendo Switch Online.
