Today marks the 19th Hockey Day Minnesota (HDM). The Wild play the last game of the day. There were four total games today. Two boys High School games at Valley Fair and a Division 1 Girls hockey game between the Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Bemidji State Beavers.

Ristolainen tapped a loose puck just across the goal line with 4:34 remaining in overtime. Detroit defenseman Moritz Seider tried to clear the puck from in front of the goal but happened to pin it against the post, allowing Ristolainen to have the easy tap-in.
Ristolainen was the OT hero after a move and a loose puck just trickled by Red Wings goaltender Alex Lyon on a rush and a deke that got away from Owen Tippett in the blue paint. The defenseman was the one to crash in and clean it all up.
With the win, the Flyers extended their point streak to a season-high six games and are winners of three straight.
