A South Carolina inmate who has spent more than half his life on death row has chosen to die by lethal injection. His execution is scheduled for the end of this month.

Officials have confirmed that the body discovered in a house fire on Wednesday belongs to a teenager who was reported missing earlier in the week. Police are investigating her death as a suspected murder.
