Bob Uecker, the voice of his hometown Milwaukee Brewers who after a short playing career earned the moniker “Mr. Baseball” and honors from the Hall of Fame, has died.

Not only was Bob Uecker, or “Ueck,” talented enough to be enshrined in the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York for his broadcasting, he possessed the rare gift of being able to make millions of people laugh.

The City of Janesville announced Monday a day set aside to remember “Mr. Baseball.” Tuesday in Janesville is officially “Bob Uecker Day” in remembrance of the baseball broadcasting legend, who passed away last week.
