As “Back in Action” goes through its paces, you’ll find echoes of such films as the Bob Odenkirk-starring “Nobody” and the Mark Wahlberg vehicle “The Family Plan,” as well as “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” and even a little of “Knight and Day,” which starred Diaz and that Tom Cruise fella.
"I've got a couple ideas, yes," "Back in Action" director Seth Gordon told BI when asked if he has any actors in mind to play the father role. "I'm not going to say because who knows what's going to happen, but there's definitely a plan of what we could do."
Jamie Foxx has been Cameron Diaz's "biggest cheerleader". The 57-year-old actor stars alongside Cameron, 52, in the new Netflix movie 'Back in Action', and Jamie supported her co-star throughout her return to the movie business.
“They were ravenous,” Gordon tells Entertainment Weekly, laughing about Close and Demetriou’s willingness to go all in. “There was only one scripted kiss, but they were all over each other — so much that I had to cut out some of 'em. It was like, whoa. But they were perfect for each other.”
