Joe Root's Paarl Royals cruised to a six-wicket win over MI Cape Town on the back of teenager Lhuan-dre Pretorius' superb 83 from 52 balls in the SA20. Having been set 159 to win, Root scored a run-a-ball 15 for the Royals as he played second fiddle to Pretorius in a 50-run opening stand.

Both Paarl Royals and MI Cape Town are aware that the Boland Park surface will be vastly different to Newlands as they aim to gain revenge in the return SA20 derby.
