Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen will be released from the hospital on Friday after spending five days at the Nebraska Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained in a horse-riding accident

After being discharged from the hospital, he will need to take it easy recovering at home, but doctors said he should be able to attend the first day of the new legislative session.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen is set to return home Friday after falling from a horse over the weekend. In an update, Pillen’s medical team said he will continue recovery at the Governor’s Residence in Lincoln. Pillen will return to his office activities next week, according to the governor’s office.
