Universal is getting in on the live-action… action for the first time with the upcoming How To Train Your Dragon movie. However, in the case of this live-action version, one of the major filmmakers behind the animated movie has returned to tell the story himself in a new way.

Director Dean DeBlois is stepping back into the world of How to Train Your Dragon , but this time, he’s swapping animation for live-action, and he wants to make one thing clear to fans: this isn’t just another remake.

The "How To Train Your Dragon" live-action remake has a brand-new trailer. The film re-tells the story of the animated 2010 hit about a Viking befriending a dragon.

DreamWorks’ plan to make a live-action How to Train Your Dragon adaptation has never sounded like a great idea, and the movie’s new trailer really makes it seem like the studio might have been better off keeping this franchise strictly animated.
