12,000 cartons of chicken broth sold at Walmart pulled from shelves in latest food recall
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration ( FDA ), 2,023 cases of Great Value, Chicken Broth, sold in 48-ounce containers at Walmart, have been recalled. Each case includes six units of the product, meaning 12,138 cartons of broth were recalled.

Walmart urges those who purchased the chicken broth to throw it away or return it for a full refund. The retailer is currently working with its supplier to investigate. According to the Mayo Clinic, using the recalled broth could lead to food poisoning, which includes symptoms like upset stomach, diarrhea or vomiting.

If you purchased the broth in either Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, or Texas, you are encouraged to not consume the broth and are eligible for a full refund. The grocer said it is working with the supplier to investigate the cause of the issue.
