Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard will be out "for a while" after suffering a significant ankle injury while playing for Norway last week, manager Mikel Arteta said on Wednesday.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta issued an injury update on club captain Martin Ødegaard ahead of the Gunners' Champions League tie against Atalanta. Arsenal's captain was substituted off for Norway over the international break and looked to be in severe pain.

Mikel Arteta confirmed that the injury suffered by the Norwegian during the international break will keep him out of action for some time.
