A s parts of Arkansas begin to see snow flurries and some patches of ice, some schools have started announcing expected closures and delays.

The winter storm will roll into Arkansas Thursday, and it is expected to bring major impacts, including freezing rain, icy road conditions and possibly up to 10 inches of snow in some parts of the state. With another cold blast coming through, farmers across the region are taking on extra work to care for their livestock.

Several Mississippi schools and universities have canceled classes Tuesday ahead of the forecasted winter snowstorm.
