Team USA's Madison Chock and Evan Bates took home the silver medal in the ice dance competition at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

The men's figure skating event kicks off at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympic Games on Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. ET. Reigning world champion U.S. phenom Ilia Malinin headlines in search of individual gold.

Team USA's gold medal came after Amber Glenn had earlier made her Milan Cortina debut, but fell short of the top spot in the women's free skate with uncharacteristic errors in her skate. Chicago-area skater Danny O'Shea and his partner Ellie Kam became unexpected heroes in the team pairs event, skating their best performance ever.

The ice dance competition began Monday at the Winter Olympics with the rhythm dance. Madison Chock and Evan Bates finished in second place.

The Netherlands had two record-breakers in the women's speed skating 1000m final Monday, with Jutta Leerdam taking gold over Femke Kok.
