NORFOLK, Va. — Two people were displaced after a fire early Sunday morning, officials say. Norfolk Fire-Rescue officials say crews were called to West 27th Street off of Colley Avenue for a report of a fire around 6:20 a.m. When they arrived, smoke and flames were seen coming from a 2 story home.

A house fire displaced two people on W. 27th Street in Norfolk Sunday morning. Norfolk Fire-Rescue (NFR) said that crews were called to the 800 block of W. 27th Street around 6:20 a.m. for a reported structure fire.

Firefighters arriving at the scene said they saw heavy flames and lots of smoke coming from the second and third floor of the home.
