The new Apple Mac mini M4 has just been launched a few days ago and hasn't yet shipped. Somehow Amazon is selling it with a small symbolic discount with first shipments expected from tomorrow, November 8.
First day out, first discount for the M4 Mac mini at Amazon
Today’s the first day you can freely buy the new Mac mini without a pre-order, and it’s also the first time we’re seeing a real discount on Apple’s tiny PC. Amazon is selling the base model with 256GB of storage for $550 or the model with 512GB for $749, a savings of $50 off either model. Both now come with 16GB of RAM too.

The Mac mini M4 is more than an iteration on previous versions of Apple’s smallest Mac. Its redesigned chassis is absolutely tiny, the base model doubles the amount of memory that comes standard, the M4 chip is even better in a desktop and you now have ports at both the front and back of the device.
The M4 Mac Mini Is Almost Perfect. There’s Just 1 Problem
To be fair, both of those other computers have significantly more memory bandwidth than the Mac mini, and both have better GPU performance. If maxing out as many GPU cores as possible is important to you, you’re probably better off with an M4 Max, which means either a MacBook Pro or waiting for an updated Mac Studio.
