Javier Bardem announced this morning during a presser at the San Sebastian Film Festival that he has signed on to star in the next film from Spanish filmmaker Rodrigo Sorogoyen (The Beasts). The film is titled El ser querido and will be directed by Sorogoyen from a screenplay he penned with Isabel Peña.

"To a woman who I love and who I've shared a life with, I want to thank and give my deep gratitude for the human being you are," Bardem said Friday night as he accepted a lifetime achievement award at the Spanish festival.
