Republican Mike Braun has won the Indiana governor’s race. He defeated Democrat Jennifer McCormick and extended the GOP’s 20-year-hold on the state’s top office.
Messmer, who billed himself as “pro-life, pro-gun, and pro-Trump,” has defeated Democrat Erik Hurt of Evansville and Libertarian Richard Fitzlaff of Terre Haute in the 21-county 8 th District. The district includes Vanderburgh, Warrick, Gibson and Posey counties.
