Memphis police officers were involved in a car chase that killed two, put one in critical condition and five in non-critical, including an officer.

A Jackson police officer was wounded and a suspect killed in a shooting Wednesday that followed a vehicle chase, officials said. They also said pipe bombs were found in the suspect's vehicle. Police said the incident began in Lenawee County.

Kenner police have arrested Carlton Pollard, 24, and Monterio Vaughn, 26, both of Metairie, in connection with the chase.

There is a heavy police presence at the intersection of Hickory Hill and Knight Arnold as officers are investigating an undisclosed incident.
