The wait to see which national team superstar teenager Lily Yohannes would commit to is over. On Monday, the 17-year-old announced on social media that she had made her decision to play for the United States.

Ajax teenager Lily Yohannes has committed to represent the U.S. women’s national team at international level. The 17-year-old midfielder was born in Springfield, Virginia, but moved to the Netherlands with her family in 2017 and was working toward eligibility to possibly represent the country as a Dutch citizen.

The dual national wase eligible for both countries although has already appeared for the USWNT in friendly action

The teenager, who has made one senior appearance for the USWNT, will suit up for Emma Hayes' side going forward
