Tropical Storm Sara formed this afternoon and threatens to bring "life-threatening and potentially catastrophic flash flooding and mudslides" to Honduras throughout the weekend, according to the latest update from the National Hurricane Center. A turn toward Florida is still possible, forecasters said.

A tropical disturbance building in the Caribbean Sea has been designated as Potential Tropical Cyclone 19 by the National Hurricane Center, and is forecast to strengthen into a tropical storm – known as Tropical Storm Sara – over the next few days.

Patience is the name of the game as we watch Potential Tropical Cyclone#19 meander in the Caribbean through the weekend. Whether or not it impacts the Gulf is TBD.
