American Water has issued a boil advisory for portions of north St. Louis County as crews work to repair a water main break, advising residents to boil drinking and cooking water for three minutes before resuming normal use.

A child was shot and killed in the Castle Point neighborhood in north St. Louis County Monday afternoon, according to police.

A 4-year-old girl was shot and killed in North County Monday afternoon. The girl was shot in the 10500 block of Castle Drive around 1:45 p.m. Responding officers rendered aid and took the child to an area hospital,

Officers responded at 1:43 p.m. to a shooting on Castle Drive. Officers arrived to find a 4-year-old girl who had been shot. She later dater died at the hospital.
