Gresini Racing's Alex Marquez claimed his first MotoGP race victory at the Spanish Grand Prix on Sunday to snatch the championship lead from his elder brother Marc, who crashed early in the race and finished 12th.

Alex Marquez won his first ever Motogp race and that too in his home grand prix in Spain. Alex started the race behind, but his brother Marc Marquez's crash in the middle of the race gave him a chance to overtake both Bagnaia and Quartararo and finish in pole position.
