SEATTLE (AP) — The Seattle Kraken ownership group, led by Samantha Holloway, announced the creation of One Roof Sports and Entertainment on Monday. One Roof Sports and Entertainment will serve as the umbrella brand of the organization to “oversee a growing portfolio of properties and fuel new opportunities.

The Seattle Kraken have gone cold, and their frigid play has put their shot at the playoffs in serious jeopardy.

One Roof Sports and Entertainment will become the majority owner of Climate Pledge Arena, setting up the possibility of an NBA expansion team in Seattle.

The Seattle Kraken ownership group has rolled out a big off-ice move, announcing Tuesday that it has created One Roof Sports and Entertainment, a new parent company that pulls the team, arena and community assets under one umbrella while also moving to acquire additional equity in Climate Pledge Arena to become the building’s majority owner.
